Vacation, NYC

Hi, This is Pam, and NYC was Great.

Hello everyone,  I’m going to tell my story about a great adventure in one of the greatest cities in the world.  Before I get started, I must say this was some experience and I want to share it with you, not the trip only, but some information about myself that I’m sure you’ll enjoy.

This is my very first blog of any vacation I’ve taken so far.  I never considered this before, but I read an article suggesting I put my exploits on paper and not use quotes and images to highlight my adventure.  I really want people to experience my vacation with me, and I’m sure I’ll get to that point soon.  I want to read and react to comments and suggestions, and maybe get readers to share an experience similar to mine.  Anyway, let me get started, and it begins with my decision to begin writing about my vacations.

I never considered maintaining a journal about a vacation of mine until I started traveling in such a unique fashion.  When I say “unique” that’s exactly what I mean.  Now, I’m enjoying an exclusive process of vacationing without the stress of excessive planning for the event.  I decide where and when I want to go and leave the rest to selecting a pre-planned vacation package deal.  img_1813

Now, a little about me.  I am a Veteran in the U.S. Army, with more than 40 years of service to my country.  I’m accustomed to traveling and relocating to difference places.  I never thought twice about what adventures these places offered since my agenda was different then than now.  My life changed when I met, fell in love, and married my husband, who is also a military veteran, and retired from active duty.  Our union came later in life, and we missed sharing many of our travel experiences together.  The closer we got to retirement, we wanted to share more of life’s adventures as a unit, and decided traveling was the best way to do it.  Plus, my husband is such an introvert, I figured this would get him out and keep him moving, and off we went.

Every trip brought us closer together, and we realized this was exciting and new for us, and this was only the beginning.  During our travels, we noticed another couple on social media, who are friends of ours,  traveling much more, and to more extravagant places.  We asked them about their vacations and discovered an abundance about traveling and savings.  We wanted to learn more, and they shared it with us.  The “Deal” happened to be an Exclusive Discount Travel Club, but you could only experience the doles by becoming a member.  As a member, your spouse, significant other, or children could enjoy these benefits with you.  Of course, after reviewing the program, we had to have it, and after taking our first vacation, we were in for the long haul.

Our last trip, to New York City in September, was the one I had to write about and share with everyone.  If you’ve ever visited a place where your entire mood changed just from seeing the view from the sky, this was it for us.  Although we both had been through NYC, and I had been there before, it was different now.  It’s nothing like being in New York City in September, and with someone you truly love.

We had an awesome Vacation, four days and three nights in a 4-Star Hotel, right in the middle of downtown New York City, Continental Breakfast daily, a romantic Lunch Cruise along the Hudson River, and a Broadway Show (Les Miserables), included in the already discounted price.  We had plenty of time to do anything we desired (touring and shopping), and if we decided not to partake in any scheduled events, that was our option.

You would love a Vacation like this, I guarantee it personally.  If you’re curious about how to travel like us, or you have a passion for traveling.  Contact me and let me provide you with the details.  I would love to hear from you.

I am a retired Chief Warrant Officer (5), US Army. I am an entrepreneur as well with huge plans for retirement and my twilight years. After working a greater part of my life serving in the military and working for my country, my future plans are to enjoy life to the fullest without the drama, politics, or stress of actually working. I plan to live it up.
